House Democrats included the much-needed funding for multi-agency IT projects in their HEROES Act, which awaits Senate action.

The Information Technology & Innovation Foundation suggests those reforms, as well as additional funding to prevent the program from hindering cloud service adoption.

The agency hopes to resolve them by the end of March and award pilots.

Citing a lack of accountability, several members of the House government operations subcommittee want to see agencies establish formal governance structures for the telecom transition.

The Government Operations Subcommittee chairman says he wants to "get FedRAMP back to its original purpose."

"The Bureau’s failure to respond to the Committee’s request is unacceptable," the letter to acting Director Ron Jarmin reads. "Provide the requested documents and information immediately."
