Maximus operates Department of Health and Human Services call centers under contracts with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Centers for Disease Control.

The new initiative is intended to support improved data gathering on equitable access to care.

The office is also working with the CDC on a cloud infrastructure that is intended to improve inter-agency data sharing.

The program will address health and socioeconomic inequalities that were illuminated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
