During the 2020 Sammies earlier this week, Gov Actually hosted a live watch party, featuring a virtual red carpet of sorts for the "Oscars of public service."
For the first time, the "Oscars of government service" will be hosted virtually, due to the ongoing pandemic. The mission and the message, however, are no different.
The “Sammies” — dubbed “the Oscars of government service” — recognize federal employees who have crafted impactful and innovative solutions to advance the mission of government.
The nominees included federal employees that used data innovation to track Zika, developed air traffic control systems for drones and mitigated the impact of WannaCry.
