FedScoop is seeking a Reporter/Editorial Manager to assist in the development and posting of timely news stories throughout the day on Candidates must be deadline driven and have strong creative, communications and teamwork skills. Candidates must also have government IT news reporting experience.


  • Editing copy and writing SEO-friendly headlines
  • Write original posts daily for
  • Edit event collateral
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum 5 years of professional online journalism experience both as a writer and editor
  • The ability to work in a collaborative setting with the capacity to handle several assignments simultaneously
  • Strong communications and organization skills
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and CMS required
  • Strong knowledge of SEO
  • Strong AP Style knowledge

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: BS in Journalism preferable in interactive journalism
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years reporter and editing experience in government IT
