Getting tech into DOD faster; Transforming DISA into an agile organization

The Air Force sees an opportunity to scale production of drones and software in “wars of attrition” and the Army will create a new offensive cyber and space program office.

The Department of Defense will roll out a new marketplace to buy technology, with the goal of getting that technology into the department faster. MG Garrett Yee (USA-ret.), vice president and general manager of Army sector at GDIT and former assistant to the director at DISA and chief information security officer for Army CIO/G-6, discusses what those technologies are and how DOD can continue leveraging them.

DISA says it’s making progress moving to the successor of milCloud 2.0. At FedTalks, Sharon Woods, director of the Hosting and Compute Center at DISA, explains how her office is helping make that progress.
