The General Services Administration has awarded 125 contracts to small businesses for its One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services Small Business contract to companies that will provide services for complex professional service requirements.
OASIS SB, a small business set-aside contract, was created in response to an increased demand for a hybrid, governmentwide acquisition vehicle to provide small businesses with opportunities, Tom Sharpe, commissioner of Federal Acquisition Service, said in a Feb. 24 statement.
“We believe that the large pool of awardees will provide government with access to highly skilled small businesses through a contract that is not only cost effective, but also efficient and streamlined for easier use by federal agencies looking to purchase complex professional services,” Sharpe said.
OASIS SB was developed to cut duplication of contracting efforts governmentwide and provide agencies integrated professional services contract options.
OASIS SB will complement GSA’s Multiple Award Schedules program and provide agencies with more flexible full-service options. Both OASIS and OASIS SB are for governmentwide use and they provide access to best-in-class solutions providers. The two also offer on-ramp/off-ramp procedures and integrated support for key government initiatives.
