OPM encourages cyber rotations across government

Office of Personnel Management acting Director Michael Rigas issued guidance for how federal agencies should use rotational cybersecurity assignments to build and sustain a federal cybersecurity workforce and create a pipeline of cybersecurity talent. Palantir's latest military win

Palantir has won another military contract, this time a prototype other transaction agreement (OTA) with Army Futures Command‘s network modernization team to provide its signature Gotham data management software for use in the heart of the Army’s battlefield network modernization work. Gotham is being integrated with the Army’s latest mission command software application, called the Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), according to Palantir. Jackson Barnett has more.

A rare feat: Congress passes cyber legislation

Congress did something it rarely does. It passed meaningful cybersecurity legislation — the IoT Cybersecurity Improvement Act — by unanimous consent. Why is it such a big deal? “It is arguably the most significant U.S. IoT-specific cybersecurity law to date, as well as the most significant law promoting coordinated vulnerability disclosure in the private sector to date,” said one cybersecurity expert.
