Oracle continues JEDI protest after Microsoft award

The Pentagon's JEDI cloud contract has been awarded, but Oracle's war against the single-award acquisition strategy wages on. The company, which failed to meet JEDI's gate requirements and thus was cut out of the competition, filed an opening brief with a federal appeals court, asking it to overturn a prior decision in the Court of Federal Claims. Oracle claims, among other things, that DOD's decision to use a single-award contract violated federal law, and its gate criteria were created prejudicially against companies like Oracle. It also continues past allegations of conflicts of interest between the Pentagon and Amazon Web Services. But the validity of that claim is now up in the air since AWS lost out on the contract to Microsoft. Read more on Oracle's appeal.

Joe Warminsky has more on the report.
