A framework for the IC's AI

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence issued new strategic documents Thursday to guide the intelligence community in its pursuit of ethically using artificial intelligence. ODNI approved a set of ethical principles and a supporting framework for implementation that are meant to ensure “that our use of this technology always complies with all limits on the authorities of the American people have granted to our agencies to conduct our national security mission,” said Ben Huebner, head of ODNI’s Office of Civil Liberties, Privacy, and Transparency. Lawmakers, however, weren't satisfied with that response, saying SBA should've modernized those systems years ago, as originally planned. Rep. Judy Chu, D-Calif., chair of the Committee on Small Business’ Oversight Subcommittee, said: "The agency can’t rely on a system that is incapable of meeting high demand in a crisis." Dave has this one.
