DOD needs to better collaborate with DHS on cyberdefense, IG says

The Pentagon inspector general found that the department needs a stronger implementation plan to collaborate with the Department of Homeland Security to help defend the cybersecurity of the nation's critical infrastructure. “Without an implementation plan that clearly defines roles and responsibilities and identifies milestones and completion dates, the DoD may not be able to sustain collaboration with the DHS in protecting the Nation’s critical infrastructure,” the report states. GSA stresses agencies align IPv6, zero-trust plans

The Biden administration has set a deadline that agencies deliver plans for implementation of zero-trust architecture. Ahead of that, the General Services Administration is urging agencies to align those plans with their strategies to move to IPv6. Dave Nyczepir has this one.
