Pentagon warns about the future of JEDI

The Department of Defense is concerned with how long the protest of its Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) contract could go on. Specifically, if the court doesn't dismiss allegations of political influence in the case, the department is worried it could “bring the future of the JEDI Cloud procurement into question,” forcing the department to consider a different approach, it said in a memo to Congress last week. The Navy sails into DevSecOps

Census updates COVID data hub

The Census Bureau has made big updates to its COVID-19 data hub to help better understand the evolving pandemic’s effects on communities and businesses. The bureau launched version 2.1 this week with new data from the bureau’s County Business Patterns (CBP) data series on payrolls and employment, as well as its latest Non-Employer Statistics, which cover businesses that have no employees. That kind of occupational data can be useful in tracking vaccine rollouts, officials said. Dave Nyczepir has this one.
