The Department of the Interior is now providing employees with remote access to the DOI Time and Attendance system.
This new resource directly responds to requests from bureau and office employees, many of whom spend the majority of their work hours in the field, traveling or teleworking, the department said. With remote access to DOI Time and Attendance, employees can now access this system on personally owned equipment, such as laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
“Previously, a DOI network connection was required to access DOI Time and Attendance,” said DOI Deputy Assistant Secretary for Technology, Information and Business Services Andrew Jackson. “This was difficult on our geographically dispersed workforce, including those who travel often or are located in remote field locations. Employees can now access DOI Time and Attendance through a new external website, no longer having to make unnecessary trips to the office just to input time and attendance.”
The new website allows employees with a Web browser to securely access certain internal applications on government furnished equipment and on POE, including DOI Time and Attendance and DOI’s Intranet site. DOI employees can access the new website by visiting https://apps.doi.gov.
