GSA releases new cybersecurity SINs on Schedule 70
The General Services Administration has rolled out four new special item numbers for agencies looking to acquire cybersecurity services and products.
The SINs, entitled “Highly Adaptive Cybersecurity Services,” or HACS, focus on penetration testing, incident response, cyber hunt, and risk and vulnerability assessment.
The new categories were mandated by the White House’s Cybersecurity National Action Plan. The services can be purchased through Schedule 70, GSA’s largest indefinite quantity/indefinite quantity contract.
Products will be available to purchase through the SINs on Oct. 1.
“The HACS SINs will better enable GSA to provide agencies quick, reliable access to key services before, during, and after cyber threats occur,” a GSA website reads.
The SINs will allow agencies to easily identify at least 15 high-quality cybersecurity vendors, while reducing agency procurement lead times in half as compared to open market ordering.
GSA will be hosting a webinar for people wanting to learn more about the SINs on Aug. 24.
