Anne Neuberger assumed the responsibility of deputy national manager in October, aligning the role with her cybersecurity position and the NSA’s evolving mission. “The American public gives the federal government their hard-earned income with the trust that public servants use those resources wisely to achieve outcomes,” Neuberger said. “Good leadership maintains that trust.” As a leader, Neuberger has sought to foster diversity and diverse perspectives along with it. Government offers a sense of being “part of something larger than yourself,” while industry focuses on “what’s been achieved, who is served and return on fiscal investment,” she said. “Working in each of these environments, and in different organizations across them, enables one to bring the best of all of these mission cultures to opportunities and challenges.”
