With the presidential campaign season heating up, the Defense Department released a video reminder to federal employees on rules related to political activity.
Under the Hatch Act, the video emphasizes that federal employees may not display pictures of political candidates, use social media to solicit political contributions or wear political messages on their clothes while at work.
Frequently asked questions and information regarding prohibited and permitted activities can be found at the U.S. Office of Special Counsel’s website.
